Privacy policy

The short version: the app processes everything on your device and sends us nothing. This website stores an email address if you choose to give us one. That's nearly the whole document.

The VoiceTranscripts app

VoiceTranscripts records, transcribes and summarises meetings entirely on your computer. By design:

  • Your audio, transcripts and summaries never leave your machine. They are stored as local files under your operating-system user account, subject to your own backup and retention arrangements. We cannot access them, and no copy exists anywhere else unless you make one.
  • The app has no account system and no telemetry. There is nothing to sign into, and the shipped application contains no analytics or tracking code.
  • Network connections happen only when you ask for them: downloading a speech or language model (from our own model mirror or the model publisher), running an update check (opt-in, off by default), or claiming a licence key you purchased. None of these transmit your recordings, transcripts, notes or usage data.
  • Licence activation works offline. A purchased licence is a signed file verified on your machine. The app does not "phone home" to keep working.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Paddle as merchant of record. When you buy a licence, Paddle processes your payment details under Paddle's privacy policy and passes us your email address so we can deliver your licence and respond to support requests. We keep purchase records (email address, licence identifier, product purchased, date) for as long as we need to honour your licence and meet accounting obligations.

This website

  • No cookies, no advertising trackers.
  • Waitlist: if you join, we store your email address, the date, and which page you signed up from. We use it to send you a launch announcement and any founder-pricing follow-up related to it. We don't share it with anyone, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing support@voicetranscripts.com.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request metadata to serve and protect the site.

Your rights

If you're in the UK or EU, you have the usual rights over personal data we hold about you (access, correction, deletion, objection). Since the only personal data we typically hold is an email address, exercising them is simple: email support@voicetranscripts.com and we'll sort it, normally within a few days. You can also complain to the ICO (UK) or your local supervisory authority.

Who we are

VoiceTranscripts is made by S5 Ltd, company number16842049, registered at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom. S5 Ltd is the data controller for the website and purchase data described above. For everything the app processes, the controller is you — the data never reaches us.

If this policy changes materially, we'll note it here with a new date at the top of the page.
