Every mainstream meeting-notes tool works the same way: your audio is sent to someone else's servers, processed there, and stored there. For most conversations, that's fine. But if your meetings carry legal privilege, a source's identity, or an NDA, every recording opens the same file of questions — whose servers, which country, what retention, which subprocessors, what the terms say about training data, and what happens in their next breach.
You can spend hours on vendor questionnaires and data-processing agreements trying to answer those questions. Or notice that a client's voice, once uploaded, can never be un-uploaded — and stop uploading. VoiceTranscripts doesn't answer the cloud questions. It removes them. There is no server.

Captures your microphone and your system audio together, so both sides of a Teams, Zoom or Meet call end up on the note — no bots joining your meeting, nothing installed on the other side.
2 · Transcribe
Whisper-class speech models run live on your Mac's own silicon while the meeting happens. The same class of model the cloud services use — minus the cloud.
3 · Summarise
A local language model turns the transcript into a structured summary with decisions and actions. When it's done, everything is simply files on your disk.

When does it launch?

Is accuracy worse because it runs offline?
No — it runs the same class of models the cloud services run (OpenAI Whisper, NVIDIA Parakeet), on your own hardware. Apple Silicon transcribes live during the meeting; a long meeting's summary takes a few minutes to draft.
How do I know it's really offline?
Turn Wi-Fi off and use it — everything works, including licence activation. The shipped app contains no analytics SDK, the update check is opt-in and off by default, and we audit each release binary for network endpoints before it ships.
What Mac do I need?
An Apple Silicon Mac on macOS 14.4 or later, with 8 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended) and about 10 GB of free disk for the app and models. It's tuned to run comfortably on a standard 8 GB MacBook Air.

Annual buys twelve months of app and model updates; if you don't renew, the app keeps working forever at the last version you received — your notes are never held hostage. Perpetual buys the current major version outright. Both activate offline.
